A birthday hike with Cindy, whom yes, I’ve met before, did not necessarily stick to the printed and highlighted map, but instead provided for a meet ‘n’ greet of strangers brought together by Mother and trail. And a wonderful pineapple upside-down cake mid-hike. We were so good at nature that this banana slug came out to greet us. Too bad someone tried to radiate it with their camera’s focus light = this. The more you know.
To quote Alex, “We found nature in a hopeless place.” Funny, but not at all accurate.
